Arts. Our system is comprehensive. It
combines the best techniques and strategies
of Karate, TaeKwonDo, Judo, Jujutsu, Kung Fu,
Aikido, Arnis, and Weapons into the most
devastating form of SELF-DEFENSE ever
devised.

The Associated American Karate Systems' (AAKS) is a
nationally recognized sanctioning body for martial art
schools and programs.

BuKaraDo represents moreover the self-improvement aspect of the martial arts;
Honor, Trust, Dedication, Sacrifice, Courage, Respect, Loyalty, Integrity, Control,
and Wisdom.
American Academy of Martial Arts Founder
The American Academy was founded in 1986 by Sensei Thomas H.
Levesque. Sensei Levesque has trained under many high ranking Black
Belts and Masters of various Martial Arts. Sensei Levesque currently
studies under BuKaraDo Grand Master Dick Pulsifer. In 1985 Sensei
Levesque was inducted into the "Who's Who in American Martial Arts.
In February 1989 Sensei Levesque was elected a Board Member to the
Associated American Karate Systems (AAKS). In 1990, Sensei Levesque
was promoted to an Executive officer of the AAKS where he held the
office of Secretary for the AAKS. In May of 1990 Sensei Levesque
was named "1990 Instructor of the Year" by the World BuKaraDo
Federation. In 1991 and 1992 Sensei Levesque was elected and served
as the President of the AAKS. In September of 1992 Sensei Levesque
was named "1992 Manager of the Year" by the World BuKaraDo
Federation. In January 1995 Sensei Levesque was promoted to a
Regional Director for the World BuKaraDo Federation. In May 1998
Sensei Levesque was promoted by the World BuKaraDo Federation to
the rank of Seventh degree Black Belt and awarded his Masters degree.
